We are looking for a part-time administrator to work with us in our company.
The role is primarily to assist with the customer experience and to aid the smooth delivery of orders through to the production team.
We have an excellent reputation for high-quality products and services; a significant number of our customers return to us for repeat work. The role forms part of a small team where we all work together.
The primary undertaking will be;
The role is something that will be new for us, but our vision is the role would be on a part-time basis, of a couple of mornings and/or afternoons per week.
The role would ideally suit someone with experience as a bell ringer, but it is not essential. There will be a familiarisation stage with what products and services we offer.
We can be flexible in our approach to working, but during the probation period, we would expect fixed hours/days of working.
Skills and Competencies
Whilst we are a small company, there may be times when assisting the production team may be required, depending on workload. We are a heritage crafts business; our core focus is on industrial-engineered products rather than arts products.

- Answering telephone
- Putting together quotations for our products,
- Dealing with email correspondence
- Collecting information regarding orders, ensuring the correct data is captured, it's up to date, and input into the system to create job sheets
- Production of shipping labels and invoices.
- Placing orders with suppliers
- Stock management.
- Managing the order book.
- Setting up and detailing job sheets for all goods to be manufactured.

- Part Time (circa 12-16 hours per week spread over a minimum of 3 days)
- Monday to Friday (30-minute unpaid lunch break per day).
- Normal company working hours are 8.30 am - 5pm Monday-Thursday, 8.30am - 4pm Fridays and we would expect the role to be fulfilled within those hours.
- 23 days (pro-rata) annual leave plus (pro-rata) bank holidays.
- On-the-job training will be provided as required.

Skills and Competencies
- A history in administration roles, familiar with MS Excel, MS Word (Google Sheets/Google Docs etc), email composition
- Good literacy and numeracy.
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn.
- Good telephone manner
- Uses initiative and makes decisions to move activities forward (within the remit of the role)
- Able to represent the Company in manner, appearance, values, and behaviour when required.
- Passionate about providing excellent customer service
- A "can-do" attitude.
